Not Too Rainy for Love

This past weekend we experienced the residual rainfall from Hurricane Gordon, but that couldn’t stop these two sweethearts from braving the elements and vowing their love to one another! Amber and Josh smiled their way through a rainy day and celebrated their marriage with family and friends. Congratulations to you both!

Shout out to Kim Hadden Photography for second shooting.

The Michel’s Get Married

Kristen and Devin are such a fun-loving, easy-going couple. Their day was filled with laughter, sunshine, and just enough snow for photos 🙂 Though they were planning to get married this summer, the military has a way of dictating your schedule and Kristen and Devin just went with it. Congratulations you two! What a joy to celebrate your fairytale wedding with you!

Keeping up with the “Jones’s”

What a fun journey it’s been to watch Colin and Kenzi fall in love, and it was an honor to capture their wedding day! Neither blizzard nor ice could keep these two from saying ‘I do’! They were even brave enough to take photos in a slush-covered alley in downtown Butler on a 15 degree January afternoon. We warmed up a bit at Cummings Coffee Shop and then headed off to the reception to celebrate with family and friends! Congratulations Colin & Kenzi!

You Make My Heart Pitter Patterson

I’ve had the privilege of knowing Hannah since she was itty bitty. She’s always been a joyful ball of energy. You’d want to be her lab partner, her study buddy, and her friend. She’s got the joy of the Lord in her smile and her attitude. She and Tyler met in high school and their love story has blossomed over the years into a beautiful, mutually encouraging, God-honoring relationship. Tyler is kind and gentle. He’s grounded and funny. And he simply adores Hannah.

What an honor to capture your wedding day, Han and Ty. I had a really difficult time narrowing it down to 60 some photos for your blog post, don’t worry — you’ll get the rest soon! Congratulations you two!

(Shoutout to Megan McGreevy Photography for second shooting!)

Finally a Friday!

On Saturday, February 6, 2016 I randomly chose a lunch table at IF: Gathering. I met four sweet ladies and one of them happened to be this gorgeous bride. We got to talking and found out that her mother went to high school with mine and that my grandfather officiated her parent’s wedding!

We also realized a common passion for missions in the Dominican Republic. Naturally, she joined me on the next mission trip. This boy also went on the trip; his name is Zack.

I swapped plane tickets with said boy so they could sit together…they held hands 🙂 One year later, I had the great privilege of photographing their wedding! Rachel is a beautiful soul and a dear friend. Congratulations, from the bottom of my heart! Love you both.

From Ryckman to Reynolds

Sweet Laura, what an absolute JOY it was to capture your wedding day. We’ve had many late night talks about Jesus and patience and grace and boys and it warms my heart to know you’ve been given this good gift.
Hayden, you’re a kind, thoughtful, strong man and Laura is so enamored by you. Hearing the toasts your groomsmen made to you is truly a testament of your character.

Congratulations to you both. Though the road ahead will not always be easy or simple, you’ve got a Savior who leads and strengthens and guides you each step of the way! May your lights shine even more brightly now that you’re together!
